D4 Women in Action Announces 2022 Candidate Endorsements

(ATLANTA, Sept. 20, 2022) – – Today, Delta4 Women In Action (D4) announced its slate of endorsed candidates for the 2022 general election to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.  According to D4 criteria for endorsement, each candidate has demonstrated a commitment to advancing policies that are in alignment with the organization’s values and goals, which are securing voting rights and improving gun control, access to healthcare, and education reform.

“D4 is committed to advancing candidates that ensure the interests of Black women are front and center in the United States political landscape,” said D4 President and Chair Shavon Arline-Bradley. “Each candidate on our list was selected because they represent the best our country has to offer in leadership and expertise.”

D4 is an independent 501(c)(4) social welfare and advocacy organization dedicated to enhancing the political presence of Black women and women of color in the public policy, legislative and political arenas. Along with endorsing candidates that will develop and protect policies that improve black communities, the organization is also training candidates through its new Chisholm Jordan Institute (CJI). CJI is an academy designed to train specifically Black women, women of color, and members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated to run for office and gain political appointments.  The idea is to build a pipeline of Black women and women of color engaged in enhanced, concerted and sustained social action, civic engagement and involvement in public affairs and the political process.
